Bookstore - The bookstore is open before school and during lunch periods. Students can purchase necessary classroom texts and supplies. Cafeteria - The cafeteria is open from 7:20 a.m. - 7:40 a.m. (8:45 a.m. on Wednesday) for students to study. Each and every student is responsible for leaving the cafeteria in good order. The cafeteria is supervised by staff members during the day. The purchase of the food in the cafeteria is on a cash only basis. Computer Labs - There are two computer labs available throughout the day for student use. The open labs are supervised by DHS staff . Knightwear Stand - The store for spiritwear is located in the hallway to the Academic Wing. The store is generally open twice weekly for students to purchase items. Library - The DHS Library is an important academic resource, serving our college-preparatory curriculum, with hundreds of publications (on-line and print) and the latest information technology, including an updated computerized library catalog. The library is open every period of the school day and fifteen minutes before and after school. Transportation - Dominican offers some transportation to and from school for students who live in select Milwaukee-South Side neighborhoods. Most DHS families take advantage of carpooling and the Milwaukee County Transit System. Residents of the Milwaukee Public Schools Vincent school district, and the Brown Deer, Nicolet and Shorewood school districts who qualify are partially reimbursed by their districts for their school transportation expenses.
