Dominican is located in the suburban village of Whitefish Bay, a few miles north of Milwaukee, and just a few blocks from both Lake Michigan and I-43.
The neighborhood is a comfortable mix of residential homes and retail establishments. St. Monica Parish and School are right next door, and Holy Family Parish and School are just over a mile away in the southern end of Whitefish Bay.
Dominican High School is on the Milwaukee County Transit System bus route, and is also easy to reach by car from anywhere in the greater metropolitan area, including northern counties such as Ozaukee and Sheboygan.
Driving Directions from the North:
- Take I-43 south to the Silver Spring Dr. exit
- Turn east (left) on Silver Spring Dr.
- Follow Silver Spring Dr. about 0.5 mile to Dominican High School
- DHS will be on the north side (left side) of the street
Driving Directions from the South:
- Take I-43 north to the Silver Spring Dr.-East exit
(the interstate will exit on Port Washington Rd.)
- Turn north (left) on Port Washington Rd.
(immediately get into the right lane)
- Follow Port Washington Rd. about two blocks to the first set of stoplights
(this is Silver Spring Dr.)
- Turn east (right) on Silver Spring Dr.
- Follow Silver Spring Dr. about 0.5 mile to Dominican High School
- DHS will be on the north side (left side) of the street
During the school day, visitors should park in the visitor lot and enter through the entrance at the top of the stairs in this lot. This parking lot is located on the west side of the school (Bay Ridge Ave.).
