A working artist, Ms. Gehr has received several awards at various Wisconsin art shows for her work in drawing and stained glass. She also has done some large pieces on commission, and designed and coordinated the stained glass window construction for Dominican's St. Dominic Chapel. Starting in 1998, advanced stained glass students chose a classroom to design a representative windowpane for its door. They were completed at the end of May 2000. In her 35th year at Dominican, she previously taught at a public school, worked as a commercial artist and as a designer/artist for the Milwaukee Public Museum


 

Ms. Lindsey Price, ext. 214

Art Teacher

Ms. Price is a 2007 graduate of UWM and is excited to return to Dominican in her second year teaching. She looks forward to working with Dominican students and teaching them the value of self-expression through art. Ms. Price is involved with coaching the freshmen volleyball team, freshmen/JV girl's basketball, and JV softball. She also moderates the National Art Honor Society and Snow Club. Ms. Price's art areas of emphasis include drawing, painting, wheel throwing/ceramics, digital imaging and photography.

 


Mr. Jeff Schaetzke, ext. 482
Theatre Director


Mr. Schaetzke is proud to be returning for his thirteenth year at Dominican. He has directed twenty-five shows at DHS, including favorites such as Les Miserables, Cats, Pirates Of Penzance, Aida, The Wiz, Servant Of Two Masters, Disney’s High School Musical, The Music Man, Children of Eden, Ragtime, Footloose, Godspell, Our Town, The Crucible, and Dancing at Lughnasa. Mr. Schaetzke's DHS productions of The Crucible and Our Town traveled overseas to Ireland, and his production of Ragtime was showcased at Milwaukee's historic Pabst Theatre.
His background is as an actor and musician, having performed at Milwaukee Chamber Theatre last year in the popular production of The Daly News. He also has credits at American Players Theatre, Skylight Opera, and Fist Stage Milwaukee, where he will be seen in this year’s production of The Best Christmas Pageant Ever. He has directed shows for Sunset Playhouse, and was involved in the musical theatre department at Marquette University for five years. He has spent time in youth ministry at The United Methodist Church of Whitefish Bay, where he helps lead the praise and worship team at the Contemporary Service. He is the proud husband of Sheila, and the proud father of Amelia, Jeremy, and Adelaide.
