Schuerman's professional background most recently includes five years as owner/president of her own consulting firm which has provided guidance, direction and strategic planning to a variety of not-for-profit organizations, a number of Catholic schools among them. Prior to forming her business, Schuerman held development positions at Marquette University, St. Catherine's High School in Racine, and Woodlands Academy of the Sacred Heart in Lake Forest, Ill. She has also served as an adjunct instructor for Marquette University since 2001. A highly respected conference presenter, Schuerman has given numerous presentations at conferences and conventions across the country.


Mr. Edward G. Kovochich, ext. 110

Mr. Kovochich has been in education for over 30 years.  Prior to joining Dominican in July 2007, he was a successful principal in the Milwaukee Public Schools (MPS) system for over 14 years, leading faculty at Juneau High School, Madison University High School and, most recently, Bradley Trade and Technology High School.  He has also served as an assistant principal and teacher in MPS, and began his career as an educator in the Archdiocese of Milwaukee.  He is a regular speaker at national conferences and an adjunct professor of Graduate Administrative Leadership at Concordia University.  Mr. Kovochich and his wife, Mary Jo, have been active members of their parish, Mother of Good Counsel on Milwaukee’s northwest side, since 1979.  Three of their five sons have attended or currently attend Dominican.

Vice Principal

Mr. Foy is now in his fourth year of service with the Dominican High School community.  Mr. Foy most recently served as Director of Admissions & Enrollment and prior to that served as a grant writer and assisted with fundraising events.  He also taught several courses, including Introduction to Economics and Finance.  Prior to joining Dominican Mr. Foy taught middle school and high school at Saint Anthony School on 9th Street and at Saint Jude Educational Institute in Montgomery, Alabama.  He is currently enrolled at Marquette University pursuing a masters Degree in Educational Leadership.
