![]() The Annual Fund Why is your support needed? The gap between tuition and balancing the budget is more than $1 million annually. Each and every gift to the annual fund helps to bridge that significant gap. Special benefactors who provide cumulative annual support of $1,000 or more are recognized as members of the St. Dominic Society. Cash gifts, as well as gifts of appreciated securities or stocks, are accepted on an annual basis. Dominican maintains accounts at Robert W. Baird, Inc., Morgan Stanley Dean Witter, Solomon Smith Barney and Ameritrade. A gift of stock assists Dominican and provides you, the donor, with significant benefits. You qualify for an income tax deduction and also avoid capital gains tax. Matching Gifts Corporations across the nation match gifts to secondary schools, meaning your gift to Dominican High School could be doubled and sometimes even tripled. Please check with your human resources department to see if your employer matches gifts. If your employer has a matching gift program, complete the form and send it to Dominican at 120 E. Silver Spring Dr., Whitefish Bay, WI 53211. Memorial and Honor Gifts You may want to remember someone who is living (honor) or deceased (memorial) with a special gift to Dominican High School. We will acknowledge all gifts and will notify the family of the person to be memorialized or honored. Scholarship Funds Approximately 70% of students receive some form of financial assistance. In a recent Milwaukee Business Journal listing of private secondary schools, Dominican ranked as the leader in providing financial assistance on a per capita basis. It is our philosophy to educate all qualified students who desire a Catholic values-based college preparatory education. General Scholarship Fund
Estate planning is necessary to ensure that your assets pass during life or at your death to your intended beneficiaries in such amounts and at such times as will achieve your objectives while minimizing taxes. When making any estate plans, you should be advised by a qualified estate planning professional. A representative of Dominican High School would be happy to discuss any options without obligation.
