Updates 1970 - 1979:
- Michael P. Failey (’70) is a Ph.D. and lead scientist in research engineering for General Dynamics in Arlington, VA.
- Ann Marie (Peterson) Steinle (’70) is happily residing in Arizona with her husband of almost 35 years, Michael. They three grown children and two grandchildren. Ann Marie is a Pediatric RN/Case Manager. She writes:
“If it wasn't for my parents and their hard work, my other siblings and I would never have been able to attend Dominican and obtain such a vital, well-rounded education. I wish the school much continued success as it definitely had a profound effect on me.”
- MaryEllen (Niles) Stocking (’71) has moved to Indio, CA – a suburb of Palm Springs - with her husband Daniel after too many years of cold weather. MaryEllen is the supervisor of the Desert Springs JW Marriott Salon. She and Daniel have a home-based business selling nutritionals, make-up and skincare products.

Michael Gerrity (’71) is semi-retired and owns a small Pack ‘N Mail store. His wife, Sandra McCarthy, is a dentist and teacher. Michael has two children - Michelle (17) and Kelsey (15) - who attend Nolan Catholic High School in Fort Worth, TX.
- Marcia (Kirst) Weinhoff (‘71) recently received her designation as Certified ECO-Broker with Harry Norman, Realtors in Atlanta, GA. Marcia has lived in Atlanta since 1980 and been a licensed realtor since 1993. In addition to being an ECO-Broker, she is also a Certified New Homes Sales Professional, a Certified Luxury Home Marketing Specialist, both an Accredited Buyer and Seller Representative and a Phoenix Award Recipient which designates at least 10 consecutive years in the Atlanta Board of Realtors Million Dollar Club. - Mary (Penn) Goetter (’72) has been married to Tom Goetter for 28 years and lives in Marlborough, CT. Mary is the mother of four grown children and the owner of a small business called International Education Services, LLC. She is also the producer of a local TV program designed to teach Chinese language and culture through short comedy sketches. Her web-site is www.internationaleducationservicesllc.com
- Doug Lee (’73) is an ordained chaplain who conducts prayer services and visits care centers in Michigan. Previously a metallurgical engineer for GM and Alcoa Aluminum, Lee lives in Independence Township with his wife Susan, and is the father of two daughters. Doug and his outreach ministry were recently featured in an article in The Oakland Press.
- Several members of the Class of ‘73 gathered together last spring at the home of Dana Wheeler Terracina in San Antonio, TX. The group included (from left): Judy Jakubek Preising, Dana, Mary Sheedy Goss, Clare Pandl Bauer and Brigid Flood Gryskiewicz. Dana writes:
“It was…as though no time had passed… DHS had surely provided the nurturing high school experience that enabled us to develop these relationships for life.”

- Mike and Mary (Doucette) Ellis (’78) recently celebrated their 25th wedding anniversary. They have four children ranging in age from 22 to 14 years old. Their 3 sons all will all graduate within a week and a half of each other this coming spring from respectively, college, high school and grade school. Mike has been working at Quad Graphics for 24 years as an Electrical Engineer and Mary, a stay-at-home mom, now works part-time at the Lang Store.
