In addition to the encyclopedia articles, there are study guides, including study guides and practice quizzes for the AP Chemistry and AP Biology tests. Discovering Collection

The Discovering Collection is a resource that includes the contents of 45 reference publications. It covers a wide variety of subjects, including literature, history, geography, mathematics, and science. You may start your search by typing search terms into the “Basic Search” box on the upper left side of the screen. There are a number of ways to limit your search, including content type, content level, and by using the icons on the lower left side of the page (Literature, Cultures, Science, History, etc.).

It contains articles from magazines and newspapers, as well as access to images, a world almanac, maps and flags. SIRS offers Keyword searching and Subject Heading searching; you must choose the one you prefer to use. Badgerlink

This is a free resource available at school or at home. At school, click on the Badgerlink icon on the Dominican Network Desktop. At home, type in the URL listed above.
On the Badgerlink homepage, you may choose EBSCOHost, ProQuest, or LitFinder. EBSCOHost contains a variety of types of sources, including reference books, magazines, scholarly journals, transcripts of radio/television broadcasts, and image files. ProQuest contains articles from a wide variety of newspapers as well as some magazines and journals. Be sure to check the box on the search page that limits your results to full text articles. LitFinder contains essays, poems, stories, plays, and speeches, as well as author information. Both basic and advanced searches are available in all three databases.
When using Badgerlink at home, you may be asked for a password when you click on EBSCOHost, ProQuest, or LitFinder. If this occurs, you must click on “Library Card Access” link on the right side of the page. From the alphabetical list, click on the link to your local public library, and type in the barcode number from your library card.
