Tuition Payment Plans

  • One-payment plan - Due July 2008
Families who prefer to pre-pay tuition in full receive a flat tuition discount of $100, and need not enroll in the Tuition Management Services (TMS) program. Pre-payment of tuition should occur by July 2008. This payment goes directly to Dominican High School.
  • Two-payment plan - Due July 2008 and December 200
Families who prefer this payment plan need not enroll in the TMS program. These payments go directly to Dominican High School.
  • Ten monthly payments - August through May
Families who prefer this payment plan must be enrolled in the Tuition Management Service (TMS). The TMS administrative fee of $40 is paid separately. The monthly payments go to Dominican High School through TMS. TMS automatically withdraws tuition payments from a checking or savings account.

All paperwork needs to be completed before the school year begins. Please contact the DHS Admissions Office at 414.332.1170, ext. 130, for more details on the various payment plans.

Merit-based Scholarships

Dominican awards approximately 20 academic merit scholarships to incoming freshmen students each year. Each award is renewable for four years. The range in academic scholarships is from $200 to $600 per year.

Students who receive a 90% composite score on the Dominican Placement Test are eligible to apply for merit scholarships. Awards are based on previous academic achievement, recommendations from grade school teachers, placement test scores and 8th grade GPA.

Students who receive an entrance exam score in the 99th percentile will be automatically awarded a merit scholarship. The DHS admissions office will provide qualifying students with details.

When a student is formally accepted and registered for classes, he/she will be given details on eligibility to apply for merit scholarship.

Need-based Financial Aid

Dominican pledges to work with families to obtain scholarships or grants that may offset and lower tuition costs. Dominican funds a portion of this assistance; additional assistance may be funded by agencies and organizations within the greater Milwaukee community. In either case, the most significant financial aid awards are usually reserved for families who demonstrate the greatest financial need. Formal applications for assistance require proof of income and an income tax statement. The financial aid range is from $200 to $3,000. Families may formally apply for financial aid only after a student has been officially accepted and registered for the upcoming school year.

CHOICE Vouchers

Dominican is ineligible to participate in the Milwaukee Parental School Choice Program due to geographic guidelines and restrictions. Only schools located within the boundaries of the city of Milwaukee are eligible. We serve many Milwaukee families; however, Dominican is located in Whitefish Bay which is a suburb of Milwaukee.

Work Study

A number of work opportunities during the school day and after school are available to DHS students. Dominican also employs a summer student work crew. All wages earned are paid in the form of tuition reduction.
