About Dominican
Dominican High School is a leader in secondary education, providing young men and women with a quality, Catholic college-preparatory education in a supportive, nurturing environment. Founded over 50 years ago by the Sinsinawa Dominicans and based in Whitefish Bay, Wis., Dominican's diverse population draws students from more than 50 grade schools and four counties across southeastern Wisconsin. The teacher-to-student ratio is 13:1 and the average class size is 15, which allows our teachers to provide a personalized teaching experience. Students develop a sense of social responsibility and respect for human dignity that serves as the foundation for them becoming successful members of a global community. Over 98% of our graduates continue their education at a post-secondary institution, many attending some of the most prestigious schools in that nation.

In addition to challenging academic courses, our students have the opportunity to participate in numerous extracurricular activities including our renowned theater department and championship winning athletic teams.

Location
Dominican is located in the village of Whitefish Bay, a few miles north of the city of Milwaukee, in the state of Wisconsin, which is located in the northern Midwest region of the United States. Milwaukee is the largest city in the state of Wisconsin and is located just 70 miles north of Chicago. Both Whitefish Bay and Milwaukee are located on the western shores of Lake Michigan which produces rapidly changing weather from cold and snowy winters to warm and humid summers. International students will be able to enjoy the excellent museums, theaters, and cultural festivals that the city of Milwaukee has to offer including the world renowned Milwaukee Art Museum.
